809,326. Coating cores by extrusion. HENLEY'S TELEGRAPH WORKS CO. Ltd., W. T., and GRIFFITHS, F. T. May 19, 1955 [May 20, 1954], No. 14884/54. Class 87(2). Apparatus for extruding three streams of plastic material, which may be of different colours, onto a cable, rod or tube, comprises two balanced screws 11, 30 each formed with two opposed threads 12, 13 and 31, 32. The threads are each associated with a feeding hopper and the depth or pitch of those on the screw 30 is such that this screw delivers to the (common) extrusion head a quantity of material equal to that delivered by either half of the screw 11. The head 22 is provided with septa 29. It may be rotated. Specification 808,415 is referred to.
