Class 120(2) Means for winding on a bobbin 8 a plurality of threads 1 from separate supply bobbins 2, comprises a guide roller 6 rotatable by the movement of the threads over it and having separate tracks 9 for the individual threads 1 which are spaced the same distance from the axis of the roller 6 and provide sufficient friction between the threads and the rollers to prevent the threads slipping thereon. The thread-guiding tracks may be roughened surfaces or be provided by protuberances or grooves. In the embodiment described the periphery of a roller 6 has zig-zag grooves 9 which may be of adjustable width, the roller 6 then comprising a cylinder 10 and rings 11 and 12, which may be of plastic.
