807,547. Rubber Springs. MOULTON & CO. Ltd. May 3, 1956 [May 3, 1955], No. 12807/55. Class 108(3) The invention relates to a rubber compression spring arrangement comprising an annular rubber ring or plurality of concentric rings 1, bonded on one radial face (or set of faces) to a metal plate 17 which extends (if at all), only outwardly beyond the rubber, the other annular face of the ring 1 being bonded to a metal plate 19 which extends inwardly of the rubber. According to the invention, the plate 19 has riveted, spot welded, or otherwise attached to it, an annular spigot 20 which is adapted to engage with the plate 17 of the succeeding ring 1 (not shown). The spigot 20 is formed from the material cut away in making the central aperture of the plate 17. The outer periphery of the ring 17 has a spigot 18 in which is disposed the plate 19 of the next adjacent ring 1 above. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown), the ring 17 does not extend radially outward of the ring 1, and the spigots 18 and 20 are both disposed on the plate 19 (which extends both inwardly and outwardly of the ring 1). The ring 1 may be either oval or circular when viewed in plan. Specification 737,912 is referred to.
