Abstract
806,620. Supply fittings for baths etc.; lavatory basins. GOSLETT, W. M. Oct. 9, 1957 [July 18, 1956], No. 22270/56. Class 26. A mixer supply fitting is accommodated partly within a well 8 formed in the surround 2 of a wash-basin 1, bath or the like and comprises a cover-plate 17 for the well 8 a discharge outlet 16 having valves 11, 12 for the water supplied and control capstans 11a, 12a therefor. A union 15 is connected to the valves 11, 12 to feed the outlet 16 with water through an aperture 20 in the plate 17. The member 16 with an annular flange 25 and the union 15 register with the aperture 20 and are retained in engagement with the plate 17 by means of a bolt 22 bearing against a washer 30 and engaging in a hole 23 in a projection 24, washers 21 and 27 providing packing means. The member 16 has a stud 28 which engages in a hole 29 in the plate 17. The well 8 has other apertures for supply pipes 13, 14 for hot and cold water threaded to receive nuts, e.g. 14a, serving to secure the fitting. The basin 1 has depressions in its shelf or surround 2 for soap and has an overflow outlet 7.
