Class 75(3) A support for fixing an electric lamp to a book board or like article comprises a shade 7 carrying the lamp fitting 9 and secured to a bracket 2 having parallel front and back legs 3, 4 which straddle the article e.g. a book cover 5, and a clip comprising limbs 12, 13 applied to the opposite edge of the article, the bracket and the limb 13 of the clip being bored to allow the flex 10 of the lamp to be threaded through them and pulled taut to secure the support in position. The flex may be in the form of a flat ribbon to increase the frictional engagement in the bores.
