Class 43 [Also in Group XXV] An article of jewellery comprises a series of partly overlapping links each link having an aperture and a spaced stud 4 the shank of the stud of one link pivoting freely in the aperture of an adjacent link and being retained by a member 7 passed over the enlarged head 6 of the stud. The retaining member may cover the stud. Alternatively the link is integral with a boss 19 having a recess 20 into which the enlarged head of a stud 16 of an adjacent link passes with a snap action. The retaining members may be removably combined with buttons of ear-rings. The links or retaining members may be made of rubber, polyethylene or nylon and the associated retaining members or links may be made of the same material or of metal, wood or polystyrene. If both parts are made of a hard material the stud or aperture is provided with resilient means.
