Abstract

804,315. Picture and like frames, CLARKE, W. H. May 16, 1956 [Nov. 14, 1955], No. 32426/55. Class 11 A picture or like frame 11 is formed with a cylindrical rotated hole 12, of an appropriate size for the object 17 to be displayed therethrough, the object being held abutted against the rebate by a radially-split annular flat-member 14 of a resilient material and having a substantially cylindrical peripheral surface the member being of a diameter which, when the member is pushed into the hole, will result in the split becoming partially closed whereby the resistance of the member will cause it to expand against the wall of the hole. The member 14 is bevelled as at 14a to facilitate insertion into the frame. Specification 804,316 is referred to.
