Abstract

804,215. Loud-speakers. GOODMANS INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 12, 1957 [April 16, 1956], No. 11515/56. Class 40 (4). A loud-speaker has its sound orifice protected from ingress of moisture by a waterproof sheet of flexible plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride having a thickness of between two and six thousandths of an inch, the sheet being clamped between a flanged front plate and the main body of the loud-speaker. Preferably the sheet is sufficiently large to totally enclose the loud-speaker, its loose edges being secured by tying or sealing to the input leads.
