Abstract
803,958. Holders for thermionic valves. MONTECATINI SOC. GENERALE PER L'INDUSTRIA MINERARIA E CHIMICA. Sept. 14, 1956, No. 28169/56. Class 38 (1). A holder for a miniature valve having contact pins arranged in line with each other comprises a body 10 of flexible resinous material, such as P.T.F.E., formed with recesses 12 containing bodies of solder 19 connected to terminals 18. A valve is connected to the holder by placing a soldering iron against the body 10 to melt the solder bodies and then pushing the valve into position, the solder then being allowed to solidify. Removal of the valve is effected by again melting the solder, which remains in the recesses 12 when the valve has been removed.
