Abstract

803,895. Folding fabric articles. BRAITHWAITE & SON ENGINEERS, Ltd. March 19, 1957 [March 20, 1956], No. 8593/56. Class 42 (2). A laundry folding-machine having folding units of the hind wherein the leading edge of an article is held stationary above a tape conveyer which carries the lower part of the article forward until the trailing edge actuates a mechanisrn whereby the leading edge is released is characterized by the provision of metal rods C one above each tape of the conveyer A in order to restrict billowing of the article B at the fold. The metal rods are detachably connected to the folding units A<SP>1</SP> and A<SP>2</SP> at E by means of a sleeve D, Fig. 4 (not shown), so that they may be readily removed without displacing the conveyer.
