Abstract

803,610. Trimming fabrics. HORSTMAN, Ltd. March 15, 1957 [Jan. 31, 1957], No. 3385/57. Class 42 (1). [Also in Croup XIV] A clipper for hair, textile fabrics, &c., comprises a hollow body 1, housing an electric motor which reciprocates an upper cutter 5 relatively to a fixed lower cutter 6, and a hair &c. evacuation duct 15 leading from the cutters to a remote suction device, the hollow body being open-topped and the duct being formed by spaced outer and inner covers 8, 7 for the body. The cover 8 has a nozzle 13, to receive a suction pipe, and side and rear edges screwed down on the edges of the body sandwiching side and end flanges 9, 10 of the cover 7. The front ends of the covers are shaped to form a transversely elongated mouth spaced a short distance from the cutters. Specification 596,754, [Group XIV], is referred to.
