Class 68(1) An armoured vehicle for use in blasting operations comprises a self - propelled chassis 1 carrying an armoured cabin 2, 3, 4, 5, 14 in which is a vertically adjustable mounting 19 carrying a universal mount 22 in which is so slidably supported a rotary drill 24 and a compressed gas blasting device 28, 25. 29 that either the drill or the blasting device may alternately be projected outwardly through a slot in the wall 4 to bore a hole or cause disintegration of the mineral by an operator within the cabin. The blasting device allows the escape of gas under pressure into the face through venting nozzle 28 and may be such as described in Specifications 431,935, 724,060, 737,641, 745,160 and 758,563 which are referred to.
