800,462. Calculating-apparatus. GUPPY, R. E. March 8, 1957 [March 8, 1956], No. 7325/56. Class 106 (1). A proportionating device for use in connection with photographic enlargement comprises a base carrying parallel scales 11, 14, one of which is movable in a direction at right angles to its length, and a cursor arm 18 pivoted on the base. The movable scale 11 is linearly graduated in terms of length whereas the other scale 14 is a percentage scale. The latter may be one of several scales which are readily interchangeable, e.g., by being carried on the faces of a member rotatable by a knob 16.
