Class 142(4) [Also in Group X] A mat of elastic synthetic plastic material comprises a number of interlocking elements 1 wnich may be oblong, or have any number of sides, which may have straight sides or be of the shape shown. The ribs 3, 4 of each element are of channel section and the base of each channel may be horizontal or inclined. Each element has pins 6 with tapered heads which are sprung upwardly into tapered slots 8. Reinforcing ribs 10 are provided.
