Abstract

798,088. Drying air or gas. RIESTER, W. F. K. June 28, 1956 [April 6, 1955], No. 10049/55. Class 34(1) Air or gas is dried by passage upwards through a rectangular metal casing 1 supported by legs 2 and having a hinged front 15 and superposed foraminous trays 12 for calcium chloride or other deliquescent hygroscopic material. The bottom of the casing is closed by a canvas cover 5 and the top by a hinged cover 6 having a shaft 7 containing heating coils 8 and a motordriven fan 9. The liquor formed during drying falls through the casing on to a shelf 3 which directs it into a bucket.
