Abstract

797,397. Filter networks. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. July 1, 1955, No. 19180/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (8). In a filter network having a low phase shift in a pass range of frequencies and comprising a series-resonant and a parallel-resonant circuit in series, the parameters are selected so that over a pass range of frequencies the reactances of the two circuits compensate each other. These embodiments are described, in the first of which the series and parallel circuits resonate at the same frequency while in the second, in addition to the reactance compensation, the reactances of the series and resonant circuits are each zero at the compensation frequency. In a third embodiment, a further parallel resonant circuit is connected across the seriesparallel arrangement and specific bands of frequencies are rejected. The circuit may be applied in frequency doubling arrangements in Doppler radar systems.
