Abstract

An insecticidal composition comprises an insecticide of the class of pyrethrins and rotenone and, as a synergist, an ether of the formula CXn + 1CXnCH2OCH2CXnCXn + 1 (in which X is H or Cl and n is 1 or 2) containing at least 4 chlorine atoms in the molecule. Specified synergists are 2,3,3,3,21,31,31,31-octachlorodipropyl ether and 2,3,3,21,31-hexachlorodially ether.
