Abstract

795,368. Knitting-machines. VYZKUMNY USTAV TVARECICH STROJU A TECHNOLOGIE TVARENI. Feb. 24, 1956 [Sept. 28, 1955], No. 5794/56. Class 74 (2). To remove the cloth beam 3 from a circular knitting machine, the take-down roller 9 is rocked upwardly about an axis 7 until abutments 10 on its supporting arms 8 engage under pins 6 on rods 5 and slide the rods vertically through guides 13; hooked lower ends of the rods 5 thereupon engage under the journals 4 of the cloth beam and lift them out of their half-bearings 2 on to inclined faces 14, down which they slide until the cloth beam falls into a trough 12. The beam may then be removed from the machine, either alone, or together with the trough 12 which, in this latter case, must be slidably arranged.
