Abstract
793,806. Photometric apparatus. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. July 5, 1956 [July 5, 1955]. No. 19462/55. Class 97(1) [Also in Group XL(b)] In an optical absorptiometer, see the Figure accompanying the Provisional. Specification, light beam 3 is directed as shown by rhombs 1, 2 successively through standard and sample solution chambers 7, 8 to detector 5; the two-rhomb system is rotatable about axis 6. Pluralities of standard and sample cells may be arranged in the circular locus of portion 3a. Rhomb 2 may be omitted, the light source being mounted on the axis of portion 3a and arranged to rotate about axis 6, slip rings providing current to the source.
