Abstract
The invention comprises a thiophosphoric acid ester of the formula <FORM:0793758/IV (b)/1> n which R stands for hydrogen or chlorine, and the preparation thereof by reacting 3-nitro-4-chlorophenol or 3-nitro-4,6-dichlorophenol with O,O-dimethyl-chlorothiophosphate. The reaction may be effected employing an acid binding agent or alternatively a metal salt of said chloronitrophenol. In addition an inert diluent, e.g. alcohols, acetone, benzene, toluene or xylene, and temperatures in the range 50-100 DEG C., are preferably utilised. Examples describe the preparation of both compounds, which are useful as insecticides. Specification 726,458 is referred to.
