Abstract
An adhesive composition comprises a blend, air blown at preferably 400-600 DEG F., of an asphalt and 0.25 to 20 per cent of a copolymer of styrene and isobutylene, each varying between 20 and 80 per cent, having an intrinsic viscosity greater than 0.7 and prepared by copolymerization at below - 50 DEG C.ALSO:An adhesive composition comprises a blend, air-blown at elevated temperature, of an asphalt and 0,25 to 20 per cent of a copolymer of isobutylene and styrene, each varying between 20 and 80 per cent, having an intrinsic viscosity greater than 0,7 and prepared by co-polymerization at below-50 DEG C. Preferred temperature of air blowing is 400 DEG -600 DEG F.
