Abstract

789,130. Gas meters. PARKINSON & COWAN, Ltd. May 10, 1956 [May 10, 1955], No. 13565/55. Class 54. A support for a gas meter comprises a flanged shelf 1 having four side-pieces 3 adjustably secured in slots for preventing sideways movement of the meter and the shelf is supported by two rods 5 which are locked in holes in the meter bar assembly 10 by grub screws and are secured to the shelf by nuts 9 and sleeves 7. Movement of the shelf may be prevented by a rod 12 secured to a wall bracket 16 or by two resilient (e.g. rubber) buffers bearing against the wall. A connecting- bar 18 is secured by grub screws in holes in the two angle members 17 of the meter bar assembly.
