Abstract

An antibacterial dressing comprises a cellulosic material, such as paper pulp or cotton fabric, impregnated with neomycin. Preferably between 0.05 and 10 micrograms of neomycin per square centimetre of fabric are used and it is applied in the form of neomycin sulphate. Such a dressing retains a comparatively large proportion of its antibacterial activity after washing and is consequently suitable for repeated use.
