Abstract

786,641. Barometric gauges. APPLEBY & IRELAND, Ltd. Jan. 25, 1956 [Oct. 25, 1954], No. 30746/54. Class 106 (2). A barometer is provided with a pointer 19, Fig. 1, pivoted to swing about an axis 18 disposed behind the dial 26 parallel therewith and having a portion 21, Fig. 2, in front of the dial which is turned at right angles into parallelism with the dial and normal to the plane of swing of the pointer. The housing 11 may be a plastic injection moulding closed by a bezel 25 in which the dial 26 is mounted. The barometer may be combined with a thermometer having a similar pointer 22, 23 moving over a temperature scale 28 also on the dial 26.
