784,384. Code telegraphy. STANDARD TELEFON OG KABELFABRIK AKTIESELSKAP. March 2, 1956, No. 6607/56. Class 40 (3). In an electronic arrangement for the production of a sequence of random signals for ciphering telegraph signals, pulses produced by a suitable noise source, such as a Geiger Muller tube GMT associated with a radio-active source RS, are applied via a valve V1 and a symmetrical flip-flop circuit formed by a double triode V4 to a mixing circuit comprising pentodes V5, V6 fed with pulses A, corresponding to the beginnings of the code elements, from a generator 4, and the random code elements of correct length occurring in the output of the mixing circuit are applied to one of the grids of the flop-flop V9 constituted by a double triode valve, to which pulses B, C corresponding respectively to the beginning of the start and stop elements are also applied via rectifiers V10, V11 from the generator 4. The output of the flipflop V9 is applied to a triode V12 or V13 operating a relay R controlling at contacts r1, r2 the input to a reperforator 7, which may be associated with a discriminating circuit eliminating code signals other than those representing the letters A . . . Z. A counter device may be associated with the reperforator 7 so that groups of perforations corresponding to five letters are produced on the cipher strip.
