Abstract
783,633. Aerials. WOLSEY TELEVISION, Ltd. Nov. 11, 1955 [Feb. 21, 1955], No. 5145/54. Class 40 (7). A junction-box for the connection of feeder to a dipole aerial or to the connecting arms used to match the aerial to the feeder in the aerial described in Specification 753,243 is formed with an integral, but relatively displaceable, cover. The box 3 is moulded of dielectric material such as polythene and is provided with sockets 5, 6 into which the ends of the dipole rods or connecting arms 1, 2 are forced to give a weatherproof seal. Terminal screws 7, 8 co-operate with the parts 1, 2 and are available for the connection of the feeder which may be led out through one or both of the holes 16 and 17. A thin web of material extends across the ends of these holes and is punctured when inserting the feeder. It serves to seal the entry of the cable into the box. The box cover 11 is united to the body by a thin flexible connection 12 and when closed its rim fits over the peripheral downward step 10 formed round the body part 3. It is held closed by snapping the hole 14 in tab 13 over stud 15 integral with the part 3.
