Abstract

783,470. Automatic circuit-breakers. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., and COLEMAN, E. April 9, 1956 [June 17, 1955], No. 17501/55. Class 38 (5). Each pole of a double pole, dolly-operated circuit breaker, such as that of Specification 763,228, has plates 1, 5, which are riveted to the frame 6 by means of projections 8. Projections 8a pass beyond the plates 1, 5 to fit in slots in the moulded casing 2. The plates 1 and frame 6 are attached to the base by screws 4, 7, respectively. Pivots 13 for the dolly 14, the pin 19 supporting the armature 20, a pin 24 for the opening spring 25, and a pin 28 supporting the moving contact 27 are located in holes 15, 19a, 26, 29, respectively, of plates 1, 5. In a singlepole breaker-plate 5 is replaced by a plate similar to plate 1 but without a securing foot and screw-hole la (Fig. 4, not shown).
