Abstract
781,090. Photographic enlargers. KENNINGTON & BOURLET, Ltd. Feb. 22,1956 [Nov. 2, 1954], No. 31730/54. Class 98(1) A negative carrier is provided with fixed spacing means or spigots projecting perpendicularly from opposite faces thereof for setting the distance between itself and a light-transmitting table illuminated from below, and between itself and a projection lens mounted for axial movement between the table and a printing paper support, which latter is at a fixed distance above the table, the spacing means being dimensioned so that the image of a negative in the carrier is correctly focused by the lens on to sensitive paper carried by the support. Thus after initial focusing- by adjustment of the spacing means focus can be re-attained by standing the carrier on the table while raising the lens clear of it, and then allowing the lens to come down until it is arrested by the upstanding spacing means on the carrier. A plurality of such negative carriers with spacing means suitable for different degrees of enlargement, also interchangeable lenses of different focal lengths, may be 'provided. The printing paper may be in reel form, and means for cutting the same and providing identification markings thereon are referred to.
