Abstract

780,225. Brushes. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. June 28, 1955 [Aug. 26, 1954], No. 18681/55. Class 19. In order that adjacent sections of brush strip of the type comprising a channel 1, in which brush material 4 is secured, may be positively spaced from one another, protuberances 6 are formed in one side only of the channel to project outwardly therefrom and be spaced from the adjacent lip thereof. The protuberances are of circular formation and can be formed in channel of brush strip such as described in Specifications 645,407 and 710,230, which are referred to. Because of the positive spacing of adjacent sections of said strip fluids can pass through apertures 11, 12 formed in the stock 9 on which the sections are mounted and radially outwards between said sections.
