Abstract

779,458. Nozzles. O'CONNOR, D. Sept. 21, 1955 [Sept. 13, 1954], No. 26454/54. Class 69 (3). A rose for a watering can has a fixed front disc 2 against which is pressed a rotatable inner disc 3 provided with rings of relatively small perforations 4. The outer disc includes a corresponding number of rings of slots 7, 8 and 9, the slots in each ring having a length such that in one position of the inner disc all the perforations 4 are exposed by the slots, and in other positions either the two inner rings of perforations or the innermost ring of perforations are exposed. Lugs 6 attached to the inner rotatable disc pass through openings 5 in the outer disc whereby the inner disc can be turned. Alternatively, a slotted disc may be rotatably mounted inside or outside a fixed disc having relatively small perforations.
