778,565. Clocks and watches. SCHMIDT METALLWARENFABRIK, GEB. Feb. 17, 1956 [Dec. 21, 1955], No. 5001/56. Class 139. In a travelling clock or watch the support 3, Figs. 1 and 2, forming the back of the case 1 is permanently or detachably attached to a blind 5 which covers the dial when the support 3 is in its closed position. One end of the blind 5 is attached directly or through a flexible connection 10 to the support 3 and the other end through a flexible connection 7 to a spindle 9. A spring 8 may be provided so that the blind 5 is returned to its closed position when the pressure of the weight of the clock is removed from the support 3. The blind 5 moves in a guide channel 6. A spring member 12 may be provided to prevent unintentional closure of the support 3.
