Means for discharging materials from hoppers comprises twin worms 6 mounted in troughs 3 in the base of the hopper and rotated in opposite directions, each worm having two portions of opposite hand arranged to feed the material to a centrally located discharge opening 8 spanned by the worms. Partition walls 9 direct the material towards the ends of the worms.
