Abstract
775,706. Ship's lines. MAIER, E. R. F. Jan. 21, 1955 [Jan. 21, 1954], No. 1962/55. Drawings to Specification Class 113. In a form of a ship's hull with V-shaped fore body and, if desired, after body with straight, convex, concave, heart-shaped or conical V- shaped frames and with obliquely raked stem and parallel middle body portion, in which the line joining the centres of area of the halfsectional areas has the form of a slightly concaveconvex curve, the entry tangent t of the halfsectional area curve ensuing from the abovementioned shape of frame is given in accordance with the relationship t=k Cp<SP>4</SP>-<SP>5</SP> in which the dimensionless constant k varies between 4.5 and 5.5 and the longitudinal prismatic coefficient Cp between 0.55 and 0À82. The middle body portion below the load water line may have stability increasing bulges. Specification 398,011 is referred to.
