Abstract

775,606. Lens mounts, photographic cameras. KAMERABAU ANSTALT. Feb. 17. 1955 [Feb. 17, 1954], No. 4817/55. Classes 97(1) and 98(2). In a photographic camera the objective is supported by a number of resilient arms so that, on focusing, the optical axis is displaced parallel to itself. Preferably, the resilient arms are spring plates 1, 2. To minimize the displacement of the optical axis O, the range of displacement of the objective 5 may be symmetrical about a central position in which the plates 1, 2 are vertical. Alternatively, the plates 1, 2 may be vertical when the camera is focused for parallel light and, the displacement of the optical axis, on focusing for near objects, used to partially compensate for parallase in a view finder. The plates 1, 2 may be apertured as at 7 and 8 for the viewfinder on a range finder. They are also apertured when they extend for the full width of the camera and the objective 5 is carried between them. In a stereoscopic camera the plates 1, 2 may be arranged between the objectives. The plates 1, 2 are sprung so that they press the objective carrier 3 into contact with a focusing screw or cam in all focusing positions.
