Abstract

775,181. Bed-lifts. CRAWSHAW, A. A. April 14, 1955 [April 15, 1954], No. 11134/54. Class 52 (2). Side bars 1, 2 carry detachable rigid fins 29 which can be inserted beneath a patient the bars being coupled by brackets 6 .. 9 to a beam with an adpjustable swivelling lifting eye 13. Extension rods 26, 27 for a headsupporting sling 28 are provided and also bars 4, 5 to carry leg supports. The bars 4, 5 have detachable spigot and socket connections to adjustable hinges 21, the spigots and sockets being of hexagonal section to provide adjustment about an axis perpendicular to that of hinges 21 on the side bars.
