771,101. Exchange systems. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. Sept. 27, 1955 [Sept. 27, 1954], No. 27501/55. Class 40 (4). In an arrangement for indicating calls at manual positions in batches, the calling relays C (not shown) control auxiliary relays D which when operated lock and light calling lamps Al and the operation of a predetermined number of D relays energizes a relay S which prevents the operation of any further D relays until the first batch of calls has been dealt with. The number of calls required to energize relay S depends on a tapped shunt resistance Wi which is cut out upon energization so that the relay holds until all the D relays restore. Further incoming calls are indicated by lamps Wl at a supervisor's position until relay S restores, when the corresponding lamps Al are substituted. The resistance Wi may be adjusted manually in accordance with the traffic conditions or automatically by a timing device associated with relay S.
