Abstract
770,288. Photo - multiplier circuits. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Jan. 17, 1955 [Jan. 15, 1954], No. 1225/54. Class 40 (3). Light - responsive apparatus comprises a photo-multiplier tube 18 which fires a cold cathode tube 11 by driving its trigger electrode 13 positive. The trigger electrode is held near the firing potential in the absence of light by a potential divider circuit 21, 22 across the supply 15. The multiplier collector 35 is connected to this supply also while the dynode next to the collector is connected both to the junction of resistors 21, 22 and to the trigger electrode 13. Battery 31 and resistance chain 32 supply the dynode potentials for the multiplier.
