An insect trap comprises a flat carton 2 formed from a single blank of cardboard or like material and provided at its ends with flaps 3 which may be positioned so as to form triangular holes 5 whereby the insects may gain access to the carton. Bait 6 in the form of animal hair, wool or the like is placed in the carton, together with an insect destroying substance such as D.D.T.
