Abstract

767,624. Optical slide projectors. NUGENT, P. Oct. 28. 1954, No. 31211/54. Classes 97(1) and 98(2) Slides for optical projection are mounted over a series of holes equidistant from the centre of a rotatable disc which is located in a position to project a selected slide by a spring detent co-operating with the spaces between adjacent slides. As shown, slides 15 are secured to a disc 10 rotatable on a hub 11 carried by a plate 17, the disc being retained by an eccentrically mounted washer 12. The plate 17, a plate 18 and a spacing plate 20 are all secured to tubes 33 which may be supported on the rods 30, forming part of a standard projector, to which they may be clamped by screws 28. The plates 17 and 18 have aligned apertures to pass the projection beam. The plate 18 carries spring fingers 19 with rollers 25 at their, ends to guide the disc and locate the selected slide. The plate 17 has an aperture 31 through which may be read descriptive matter on the disc corresponding to the slide being projected. As shown the slides are formed of transparencies in cardboard mounts secured by staples 16. Clips or holders for the slides may be provided on the disc.
