767,047. Fluid flow meters. BRYANS AEROQUIPMENT, Ltd., and PALMER, D. C. Aug. 25, 1955 [July 6, 1954], No. 19764/54. Class 69 (1). A flow-meter element comprising a porous plug of mineral wool through which the fluid flows and a pair of pressure-sensitive elements spaced in the direction of flow to produce a differential pressure has the mineral wool 32 disposed between two perforated transverse partitions 18 in a tubular casing 10, the partitions defining together with the casing ends 12 unfilled spaces 20 having inlet and outlet connections 14, and the pressure-sensitive elements are in the form of probes 34 sealed into openings in the casing wall. Each partition has a number of concentric rows of perforations in its outer part, and a central opening 28 covered by a grid 30; filter pads 16 are provided for the inlet and outlet openings.
