Abstract

766,461. Wrapping ice cream wafers. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. May 24, 1955 [May 25, 1954], No. 15319/54. Class 94(1). Packages containing ice cream wafers are formed by depositing wafer biscuits 1 in succession on a web 3, placing an ice cream block 9 on each wafer biscuit and depositing a further wafer biscuit 1 on each block, the web then being wrapped to tubular form round the wafers. The tube is sealed between the wafers as described in Specification 743,978 and individual packages formed by cutting. The blocks 9 are formed and supplied from a strip by means as described in Specification 743,978. Prior to folding the web, a pad may press on each wafer to consolidate it.
