Abstract
An electrical conductor element, particularly for use in thermocouples, is formed of an alloy of Pb and Te, the proportion of Pb being 61.95-65.0 per cent for an element electronegative with respect to Cu and 58.0-61.8 per cent for an element electropositive with respect to Cu, the metallic impurities in each case not exceeding 0.01 per cent. The element may be combined with other suitable materials such as stainless steel to form thermocouples or the electropositive and electronegative elements may be combined together.
