Class 81(2) In a hypodermic injection device in which an ampoule 1, containing medicament under gas pressure, is connected to a hypodermic needle 6 by a transparent, flexible tube 4, the needle is secured in a glass head 5 outside which the tube 4 is fitted, and a recess 9 is provided at the rear of the head to accommodate a filter element 8, which prevents broken glass from reaching the needle. A glass cover 7, over the needle, is fused to the head 5 to maintain the needle sterile.
