Class 64(3) A mesh-like spacer for parallel heatexchanger tubes c, d comprises two sets of parallel thin-metal strips b, the strips of one set extending at right angles to the other set, each strip being shaped to a stepped (Fig. 2). or an arched (Figs. 3 and 4) cross-section and having flanges a along its longitudinal edges. The spacing strips b are fitted between adjacent tube rows as shown; and the strips of one set may be notched to engage the strips of the ther set as indicated in Fig. 2.
