764,744. Resilient mountings. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. March 18, 1955 [April 1, 1954], No. 7892/55. Class 108(3). [Also in Group XXXV] For mounting a motor e.g. in a refrigerator a U-shaped resilient member has a bracket connected to its light portion and another to its leg portions, one bracket being connected to the motor and the other to its support, the brackets also being so arranged as to prevent abnormal movements. As shown, the light of each rubber member 30, which has a metal reinforcer 31 is held on the base 12 by a screw 41 and a C-shaped metal element 43 which has a hole 45 into which projects the end of a stud 48 serving to grip the ends of member 30 between clamp 46 and the flanged bracket 22 fixed to the motor-compressor unit 14, the clearance around the end of stud 48 being sufficient to allow only limited movement between brackets 22 and 12.
