763,924. Graters &c. MOULIN-LEGUMES MANUFACTURE D'EMBOUTISSAGE DE BAGNOLET (M.E.B.) ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS MANTELET ET BOUCHER, SOC. ANON. Jan. 26, 1955 [Feb. 1, 1954], No. 2351/55. Class 28(2) A food grater, mincer &c., is provided with legs 10 to fold in underneath the food holder R as at 10a the legs being pivoted to brackets 1 on the receptacle, which hold them in tucked-in or in spread-out positions. The brackets 1 made from shaped blanks, are provided with flats 2 welded to the receptacle R, and with depending flanges 3 with offset extensions 4 perforated with flanges to receive the bent out pivot 7 of the bent wire legs 10. The extensions 4 are further provided with dimples 6 to hold the legs in extended position, as their ends 11 abut under the offset portions joining 3 and 4, so that the legs are held rigid in extended position. In folding inwards the legs 10, the leg parts spring past the dimples and so are pivoted in stored position underneath the receptacle. Simpler forms of brackets can be provided (Figs. 4, 5 and 6, not shown). One of the legs may be encased in a steadying handle. Specification 658,330 is referred to.
