Abstract

The stability of aqueous suspensions of penicillin compounds such as procaine penicillin which according to the parent Specification is increased by removing the atmospheric oxygen from the unfilled space in the containers in which the suspensions are stored before, during or after the suspensions are filled into the containers is further improved by the use of a butyl rubber cover for closing the container. The cover is in the usual form of a tight rubber cap, or a rubber disc or a rubber stopper. Specification 745,790 [Group XVII], is referred to.
