A deck of crossed division rods 1, 2 of a crate has downwardly extending corrugations 12 at the sides of each bottle compartment, the base of each corrugation being joined to a further deck 1a, 2a of rods or to the crate base formed of crossed rods by struts 5 to form Y-shaped structures. A unit may be formed of two decks and secured within a crate. The first Provisional Specification describes crates differing from the above in that there are no corrugations 12.
