Abstract
759,061. Corsets. INTERNATIONAL LATEX CORPORATION. Jan. 29, 1954 [Feb. 13, 1953], No. 2736/54. Class 141. [Also in Group V] To reduce sliding of garments over moulded undergarments, and to reduce static electricity effects, the surface of the deposition former 18, Figs. 2 and 5, has alternating stripes 20, 22 which produce on the surface of the deposited undergarment 10, Fig. 1, corresponding alternating stripes 12, 12<1> of differing texture. The stripes 12 are glossy and smooth, and the stripes 12<1> are velvety, lustreless and smooth. The former 18 may be made by selectively etching, sandblasting or abrading an ordinary smooth former, this etching &c. producing velvety, lustreless, smooth stripes 22 and leaving glossy smooth stripes 20. If the former is dipcoated with latex coagulant before it is dipped in latex, more of the coagulant will cling to the lustreless stripes 22 than to the glossy stripes 20, and this will result in a diminished sharpness of reproduction of stripes 22 and also a thickening of those stripes. Cotton filaments 24 may be embedded in the outer surface of the garment (later to become the inner surface by turning inside out) as described in U.S.A. Specification 2,636,173. Ventilating holes 30 are provided in the garment.
