Abstract
758,098. Spring clip fastener: JACKSON, C. L. Oct. 15, 1954 [Oct. 17, 1953; Nov. 30, 1953; July 16, 1954], Nos. 28689/53, 33124/53 and 20735/54. Class 44. [Also in Group I] A bath &c. outlet plug has, as shown in Fig. 1, a resilient part 5 of round wire having its upper bend secured to the plug 1 by a shackle 2, and being so shaped as to engage the filter of the outlet to prevent accidental removal, the curved legs 7 being also adapted to engage a tap spindle.to retain the plug when not in use. Fig. 5 shows an alternative form moulded from hard rubber in one piece and having a stud 9 with a head 10 and an axial slot 11 dividing it into two parts of approximately semi-circular cross-section which can be pressed together to pass through a filter . aperture: Fig. 10 shows a. further form mechanically similar to that shown in Fig. 1, but in which the resilient part 22 is made of metal strip secured to the shackle 27 by means of: a bolt' 30. Further forms, including plugs with a coiled spring of round wire as part of the resilient member, are described and illustrated.
